This episode of TabulaCast is an interview with Tom Potter lead designer of Tabula Rasa. Amongst the many things we discuss include: - Tom tells us about his role as lead designer on Tabula Rasa and how important the community is to his role
- PAU’s: when we can start seeing concept art and how they will be introduced into the game
- Delivery of new systems and Tom's vision for this
- The Neph Warrior and how they will introduce new types of spawns to maps that make use of logos
- New creatures pretty soon and mobs whose visual appearance is level based
- Armour design and the differences between them
- Solo-ability and overall vision for class balance
- Community focused areas to act as a hub for players to get together such as the CELLAR Arena
- Is there room for a group XP bonus?
- Thoughts on balance between PVP and PVE gameplay
- Crafting and how it WILL be something valid to do when not combating and it will be in a level ilk so modules can level and perform better.
- Control points and how it's important to make the new features for everyone -- not only PVP but PVE players too
- Tom tells us how he loves player customization and more options such as progressive armour and weapons like the new shotgun
- He also tells us how repeatable content such as instances, PvP maps and the like outside of the main game are things he'd like to see in the next few months.
- Tom tells us about his favourite class and his favourite TR moment when playing on the live servers
- All members of the team have a big interest in the game because they play it and are therefore invested.
- And more!
